Another Year

Time has passed so quickly since you were taken from us so suddenly on this day in February 2007.

I think about you all the time and can't believe it was two years ago that I got that terrible call from Julie to tell me you had passed. It's a day I'll never forget for the rest of my life.

So much has happened since that day, so many things have changed, but one thing that hasn't changed and won't ever change is how much I still love you and how much I miss you.

As I promised wee Belle when you were here, I would go to New York with her for her 21st Birthday. Sandra, I kept that promise, and we went in January. Belle had an absolute ball and was spending her money like mad, it was so good to watch. Sharon came with us, June Ann too, and my cousin Carolanne. We had a brilliant time, and I've forged my own friendship with wee Claire - probably something to do with her feistiness and cheek. Love the cheeky wee madam to bits. And believe it or not. she willingly came to Phantom on Broadway, and liked it too!

Claire got the chorus lyrics of 'Feel' by Robbie tattooed on her left arm, and it is very classy. I've not listen to that song since the night of your funeral, just can't do it. I've managed 'Memory' a few times but that's easier for me for some reason.

You know I don't believe in God and Heaven, but there is always some comfort knowing that it doesn't feel weird leaving these words for you. I do hope that when the time comes for me to pass on, that I'll be reunited with you, and we can catch up on everything we've missed together, and continue that friendship that we had bonded so well.

I love you and miss you my friend.

Great Scottish Run

Well Sandra, we all made it - all 7 of us finished the 10k in good time and we all had a great time doing it. We hope to have raised about £1200 for Cancer Research. Just wanted to leave a wee note to say that we will all be thinking of you tomorrow when we take part in the Fun Run. We're raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Lianne, Claire, Cheryl, Mark, Julie, Scott, and me will be 'running' in memory of you.

Everyone still misses you terribly, but we have no choice but to get on with life, and accept that you are no longer part of it. Although you may be gone, I still think of you every day, and I know everyone else does.

Oh my god Sandra they are gettin on a bit except of course Donny who is still a hunk of a man,remember how you wanted to marry him and tried to phone him with plastic coins from a phone box,you were like nine or something!.
